Every calling has a lion standing in the way — the fear, the setback, the voice that says you’ll never be enough. Battle the Beast names twelve of those lions and shows you how to face each one, so what could have disqualified you becomes part of what defines you.

Most people don’t miss their purpose because they lack talent. They miss it because something stands between where they are and who God created them to be — and they never learn to face it. Here are three of the twelve lions the book takes on.
The voice that keeps you at the edge of the pit, waiting for a better day that never seems to come.
Measuring your calling against someone else’s until you lose sight of what God asked of you.
Believing what you lack disqualifies you — when it may be the very place God does His best work.
“He went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow.”
II Samuel 23:20
Benaiah didn’t wait for better conditions. He chased the lion into the pit — on the worst possible day — and won. His story is the backbone of Battle the Beast: you don’t have to wait until you feel ready to face what’s opposing your destiny.
From the Lion of Fear to the Lion of Deception, Battle the Beast names twelve lions that keep people from becoming who God created them to be — and gives you a biblical, practical way to face each one. Then it shows you how to stop the mouths of lions for good.
